Netflix Announces ‘Scott Pilgrim’ Anime Series with Michael Cera and Entire Movie Cast.

Netflix has unveiled plans to develop an anime series adaptation of the cult-classic graphic novel “Scott Pilgrim,” featuring the voices of Michael Cera and Chris Evans. The project, based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s beloved comic book series, is set to bring the original characters back to life with a fresh, animated twist.

The “Scott Pilgrim” graphic novel series, published between 2004 and 2010, follows the life of Scott Pilgrim, a 23-year-old Canadian slacker and part-time musician who falls for the mysterious Ramona Flowers. To be with her, he must defeat her seven evil exes in a series of video game-inspired battles.

The comic book series has already been adapted into a live-action film, “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” directed by Edgar Wright and released in 2010. Michael Cera starred as Scott Pilgrim, while Chris Evans portrayed one of Ramona’s evil exes, Lucas Lee. Despite earning a dedicated fanbase, the film did not perform well at the box office.

In this new anime adaptation, Michael Cera will reprise his role as Scott Pilgrim, while Chris Evans will lend his voice to the character of Lucas Lee once again. Additional casting details have not yet been disclosed.

The Netflix series aims to stay true to the original source material, blending elements of romance, action, and comedy with a unique visual style inspired by video games and pop culture. Fans of the graphic novels can expect a faithful adaptation that captures the essence of the comics while exploring new storylines and character arcs.

No release date has been announced for the “Scott Pilgrim” anime series, but with the star power of Michael Cera and Chris Evans behind it, anticipation is already building among fans and newcomers alike. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
