Do you have SANPAKU eyes?

I’m obsessed with this new-to-me term and am looking at all the eyeballs now. I just found out about the Japanese term sanpaku which means “three whites.” This term means the white of the eyes show either above or below the iris. It isn’t a rare trait or a medical term, but was popularized in the 90s.
Some say you are cursed if you have it. Some say you are super sexy if you have it. Some say showing the white under your eye can help you look younger, but showing the white above your iris makes you look more like a sociopath.
Others say it isn’t a big deal the celebrities are just tilting their head down and looking up.

If you want to dive deeper into the sanpuku rabbit hole here is a nicely organized article.
Check out these celebrities with sanpaku eyes. *Hint Hint* To me it looks like in a lot of these pictures the celebrity tilts their chin down and just looks up at the camera to gain the seductive effect.
- Billie Eilish
- Robert Pattinson
- John F. Kennedy
- Princess Diana
- Sylvester Stallone
- Beyonce
- Katy Perry

You can also have surgery to remove sanpaku if you don’t like it as well.

So do you have these eyes? I think I do. Maybe I’m cursed. Maybe it’s pretty. Maybe it doesn’t mean a thing. haha
